Misschickenlittle asked about testing the accuracy of a Hygrometer
Set it outside and copare it to humidity listed on accuweather.
Yinepu is bottle feeding kittens!
Pickitfarm got very sleepy and said Goodnight!
Kodster shared a battor problem to watch out for. Make sure the view panels are sealed! A hatch was messed up last fall because temp and humidity could not be maintained.
Tnspursfan09s family is happy that the eggs are set—now some eggs will be eaten instead of setting all the eggs!
Bantambury posted a couple of photos! Nice! Post 6455
Ozexpat, Cyntyhia12 and I warned those using auto turners, especially still air incubator, to now put an egg next to the motor.
Marynash88 once revived baby bunnies by putting them into her shirt top!(gotta be Family Friendly LOL). Post 6488

Jbher is up with a feverish Toddler and too high humidity.
Sally posted helpful information—try to use cups or removable water containers instead of filling tanks. Chicken Canoe has posted to watch average humidity over 18 days and not to worry about short term highs and lows.
Hayduke27 asked if humidity went up when eggs are added. Wait 24 hours for the incubator to adjust. It should get back to the pre set state by then.
Ozexpat recommended a power out alarm to use. It worked and Sally Sunshine was awakened by the alarm and was able to get the Generators running in time to save the egg!
HayDuke27 said to use tupper or other plastic storage cups with wet paper towels to adjust humidity. It is easy to add and remove them based on the humidity you need. This is based on the evaporation of the eggs and air cell development.
PAchickenlover has chicks getting big and picked up Pekin ducklings from TSC! Pictures in post 6516 Is also excited—sebastapol Geese may be in her future!
Uphilljill dropped by to post cute goat pictures and chicks too! Post 6514
Mlmddh had rain and a stream for ducks to play in.
The 31st is Serama set day!
Hurley’s 3 year old Son is Obsessed with the Statue of Liberty. Wants to get go see it!—Planes are easy to get too!
Angelobutter is figuring out the Brinsea Spotcheck.
It may be faulty!
Kiomey had a blast dancing
Amyfitz100 posted a great candling picture—husband will not eat eggs from the backyard! Post6549

Austinbndr28s family has decided to go on vacation during hatch weekend! Where are their priorities!
Sugartree11 uses traditional humidity and has great hatches—55%
Whoops set the incubator incorrectly so it was not turning the eggs.
JackieandChicks had a temp spike up to 105. Hopes the eggs are ok! DCchicken had a temp spike too!
Gryeyes is still setting eggs—broodies and such along with a mini brinsea. Will post numbers and photos later.
Joyfulpromise is struggling with keeping the temps even in the bator. Will move eggs to different spots at candling.
