Dang bipeds.

You could try placing several "No Trespassing" signs along the border of your property- or if it's not already fenced, fence it; preferably with electric wiring.

I would be slightly scared if people came into my property like that and started messing with my things. The nerve with some people.

We had a senior citizen group out in our hav field picking dandelions. My father in law drove down the road to where they were, and pointed out that they were trespassing. One lady became all indignant and wanted to know WHY we were so uptight about things. My father in law went into details about the stolen gates, the mashed down hay, the tire tracks, the dog walkers (any big field must be a dog park!?), the homeless person camped out and his trash, etc, etc, etc. Didn't make much of an impression on her. Sad, because if they'd asked, we would have told them to have at the dandelions -- goodness knows we have enough of them. But no one asks any more.

5 strands of barbed wire and dog and we never have a problem. We have all our 150 acres fenced and keep the fence well maintained and check it several times a week.

My husband is anti personal protection (guns)

If people choose not to protect themselves, their choice. Not everyone is comfortable with guns. The problem comes in when someone who wont touch a gun themselves then tries to tell ME I can't have a gun. These are the first people screaming for more police and higher taxes to protect their stupid butts and try to sue the city if some thug mugs them.

Anti-gun laws do NOT keep criminals from getting guns and hurting innocent people. It just makes more people defenseless and easy targets.
