Such a cutie! I've had no behavior issues with my D'anvers at all so far. They have quite a large area, have been in an 8x8 coop with other chicks since they were about 2 weeks old, then the total numbers dwindled slowly till now, they are in there with 10 standard breeds that will continue till they are old enough to be placed in their respective coops. Not one feather picker in the bunch. Mine are porcelain and mille fleur colors.

She has a buddy named Poop Face, if you separate them, they wander around peeping until you put em back together. It's pitiful. And we have 6 other chickens!

Yeah, my husband wasn't too fond of the name Poop Face...

That is, until she started escaping the brooder and pooping all over the bathroom we keep em in.

Well, since you thought it would be cool, Aubrey, meet Aubrey! He is the larger of the Porcelain males:

I have dubbed the other porcelain male, who is slightly smaller, "Angus MacGyver", since he recently made it out of a tight spot, so to speak. Here are Aubrey and Angus together:

The two Mille Fleur males are Rufus and Rusty. Rufus has a great big comb that popped up early on. Rusty is much darker than Rufus.

Penny, my best buddy. She swooshes over to me the moment I sit in the chair, flies up to my lap and promptly settles down to go to sleep. She was so quick to do that every time, she was almost worrying me, but she is just a love. In the second pic, you can see she's beginning to get her tipped feathers.

Carly is the really tiny girl. She is a fiesty little thing, sparring with the big ones quite often.

I didn't get a good individual pic of Aimee today (yup, Aimee--have to have one of those if I have an Aubrey, right?

) She has her tipped feathers already coming in quite well, but didn't come over today for her close up. She's probably the larger of the three mille fleur pullets. The Mille Fleur in this group picture is Aimee.

Yeah, I thought you'd get a kick out of that pretty boy being named after you, LOL. They're doing very well. And those little things are not aware that they are teensy compared to the others. It's quite amusing to watch one of the 7 week old D'Anvers get up in the face of that 11 week old Silver Phoenix pullet! Such big attitudes!
