So, she laid this last night. It has no shell, only a membrane. 2 days ago, she passed a hypercalcified egg with an extra thick membrane attached at one end.

I’ve been at work and am not yet home, but my hubby reports that Daphne is still doing well! I was really very scared yesterday afternoon prior to her appointment and last night as she seemed so incredibly ill. Sooo, crossing my fingers that she has no reoccurrences.

I was very impressed with our experience at the vet and look forward to hearing about what fun things they find in her stool sample!

Thankfully, I have the weekend off from work, so all the ducks will get tons of extra love and attention.

Thank you all again for your support!

I can’t remember if we talked about it or not but I would go to TSC and buy calcium gluconate. It’s a clear liquid. And it is one of the easiest sources of calcium to absorb. Hopefully if she has nicely formed eggs, it will help her to get regular. If she were mine, that’s the first thing I would do to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Good luck!!

Like this stuff?

Calcium gluconate is in the cattle section and it's liquid.

Do they have Daphne on an antibiotic? Just in case of infection?

So happy to hear she is doing so much better but def talk to the vet about those eggs.
