Someone earned themselves ANOTHER dang bath tonight 🙄

Actually, technically TWO 🙄🤦‍♀️

I will explain…

We went onto the marsh today for the first time in literal months and anyways, on the way back, he notices the giant pile of deer 💩 that I noticed right away on the way out. He proceeds to drop and roll BUT! I noticed and stopped him before he could roll any more. So he only rolled the once. So thankfully he didn’t smell TOO terrible. But he DID smell a bit. Plus even if he didn’t, I didn’t want him rubbing deer 💩 on my bed LOL that’s nasty!!!

SO!!!!!

He got a bath!!!!!

That’s bath number one.

Bath number two happened because I messed up.

Normally he likes to do zoomies after so I let him outside. Well, our yard is all torn up right now because we’ve had people working on it and taking trees and stuff out. So lots of dirt. You can see where this is going… 🤦‍♀️

Brew notices the first area of dirt, ATTEMPTS to roll but I spy him from a mile away and put an immediate halt to that LOL he comes running back to me like the good boy that he is! And proceeds to try rolling in the grass next. I allow this because I figure at least it’s not mud. Sure, he got some wood chips and leaves on him but those brush off easy enough so whatever.

So THEN!!! The little BRAT disappears behind the hill and proceeds to ROLL IN THE DIRT ON THE SIDE OF THE HILL!!!!! It took me a minute to realize where he was and what was over there and what he was doing! When I did and got up, I immediately stopped him again so he only got one roll in, once again. But one roll was more than enough. It was too late. His entire right side including his face and everything was covered in dirt!!!!

SO!!!

I told him, that’s it! You’re going back inside! Back in the bath! He obliged and went inside. But when we went inside, he ran to his crate 🤣😭 oh no, I said. You’re getting another bath, buddy. Grabbed his leash and thankfully he came willingly and walked into the shower again, surprisingly because last time he was hesitant. But he went. And stood there like a good boy while I sprayed him down again and watched the massive amounts of dirt and mud fall off of him into my shower. It was DISGUSTING. 🤮 but now he’s nice and clean again! I didn’t bother with shampoo again the second time since I figured it was just a quick rinse to get the dust off. But yeah.

So that’s the (very long) story of how Brew got two baths in one day. 🤣😭

Btw, I don’t blame him for needing the second bath. I blame myself for being stupid enough to let him out there knowing there was tons of dirt out there. 🤣😭🙈
