My 8 year old grandson plays hockey and they traveled to Michigan in January for a tournament. They went out in the freezing weather to see a lighthouse. They didn't get to get close because the wind and waves were crazy.
Oh wow! I bet that was crazy lol but sounds fun!
They have a lot of fun when they get to travel. I often wish I could go along, but I always seem to have things keeping me at home *sigh*

I will be getting to make a trip with them to Nebraska soon. That's where my oldest daughter lives. She's been there going on 3 years and I've yet to visit. I don't have a car or license anymore. Didn't figure I needed a license since my car no longer ran and would cost more than it's worth to fix it. Then I moved in with my sister a few years ago to help take care of her husband who had cancer. After he passed our Momma got bad off so I just stayed. Momma passed last October at the age of 94. So, now it's my sister and I, and all our critters. We have 3 dogs, 3 cats and 9 chickens lol.

Thank you. It was hard. Still is at times. But, we know they are in a better place than where we are. This world is so chaotic that you never know what will happen.Aww that sounds sweet

I have a "sister"
Childhood friend. Her dad and her mama (who I was very close to as well) passed in 2020 and now her health isn't all that good either. We've been talking about trying to move her here with us since she has no one left where she lives now.
Our family has always been pretty tight knit, but now we're all spread out so we don't see our other siblings often. We lost our brother to Covid a few years ago and after that our momma sort of gave up. This sister and I have always been there for one another. Looks like we're stuck with the other now lol.
