Ummmmmm… just how it came?????? :lau
So in the foam and shrink wrap from the store?

Yeah, you need to use that up. Make meatballs and a meatloaf and hamburger patties. Technically you CAN re-freeze it, butit isn't something you should do a lot.

Next time re-package it before you freeze. Making it into portions will help you with meal prep and allow it to be kept far longer.

And okay thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm baking a very simple birthday cake for my grandson this weekend, box mix, Duncan Hine's chocolate Devil's Food cake.

I had a crazy thought of mixing a cup or two of Cocoa Puffs breakfast cereal into the batter right before baking the cake. Do you think it would be good? Edible? Or a disaster? Would the cereal still be crunchy in the cake?

A better option would be to add it on top of the icing after. either the whole puff or break it up into a crumble. It will get soggy in the batter before the cake has set in the oven.

Yeah, I feel like it would get soggy. But adding it on top like AZ said could be yummy lol
After thinking about it I agree with you both. I like the crumbles idea a lot, so that's what I'll do. I'll post pics when it's done.

I'm making the icing from scratch with powdered sugar and melted Baker's unsweetened cocoa bar because I have no powdered cocoa. Butter too, would be good. Less healthy and richer would be better. LOL

Anyone have a good recipe using those icing ingredients?
