Thanks! She (well we are hoping she's a she) is a cutie...

So difficult not to go and look every 10 min. But I must admit having one come helps keep your mind off the soo sooo still eggs.

It's a play date!

Our little silky is chirping at herself in the mirror...*awwww* She is now imprinting on us and now sure how long to leave the eggs in the incubator? Day 24? 25? *shrug* I dunno????

I am tempted to take a few eggs from the broody, if these 3 eggs don't hatch. I need a plan for a playmate without too much of an age difference.

How long do you hold on to hope?

Day 25?

25, 26 probably?? I am getting 15 lav orp eggs on the 7th or 8th so will need the incubator, i hope will have a better hatch rate, still need to candle the broody's eggs but didn't have it in me today , maybe Sat. I don't want any bad news!

I am on what, day 25? (They were set on 6/9 & 6/10)
And I can hear some pipping going on in the others.
I do have to say that the success rate on mailed eggs is a lot lower than non-mailed so far. I hope that improves.

Holy cow! 34 days? My electric bill is gonna be huge if they take that long!
Were there any health issues with the late bloomers?

I am at 23 days. If I did candle what do I look for. The egg is so dark cus the baby has it all filled with its little body I can't see anything.??? I did see movement on day 18.

I gave up on mine at a month. :-( none hatched. Had some muscovy eggs were 30 days on the 24th...by Sunday gave up on them. Two had dead ducklings in them. :-( Very discouraged - lockdown on some harlequin duck eggs that will be 30 days Thursday - one exploded in the incubator. They don't look encouraging. Same one am moving over some silver seabrights - not sure on those either. Not looking good at all for hatching.

I just got home and near the end of day 21 there is a whole lot of nothing going on. I candled while mama was up--one has viens and movement. The rest had an air sac--I really don't know...maybe the keeper is just behind??? How long before I worry? Give up? 30 days?
