Hi all, I put this egg into a homemade incubator in the mid afternoon of 24th September. I counted 25th as day 1. Today is now day 29 and there is no internal pip. There is plenty of movement when I candled it but it just doesn’t look right. The air sac looks small and I can see it’s beak anywhere near the it. The temp did fluctuate a bit being homemade so I’m wondering if it is just really delayed since there is still plenty of movement inside it. These pics were taken on 22 Oct.

It’s an Australian woodland duck. It’s definitely alive as when I candle it there is definitely movement in the egg

OK, that's what we needed to know, Australian woodland ducks also hatch in 28 days, I'm afraid that either your incubator is running very under temperature or the moment is just the insides swishing around because there's not proper veining.

Unfortunately I can’t seem to put up a video, but I am positive it isn’t swishing around, it doesn’t move from one side of the egg to the other nor does it slide around. It is definitely deliberate movements. I have two thermometers in there now but I have no doubt the temp wasn’t stable in the first few weeks which is why I think it is really underdeveloped. There is absolutely no stink coming from it either

So what happened with your egg?
