Okay listen I asked the ladies on another thread if they can help you since i have never tried to help a duckling out of it's shell. Please try not to get ahead of this hopefully someone will be here soon to give you advise.. I'm pretty sure once the duckling hatches you can slip it back in with mama.HELP! So, the duckling is still in the egg, the egg seems really dry, the shell has been broken but the size of the broken part is not very big, the cracked part not much bigger than it was yesterday. The duckling is still peeping. The egg was turned hole side down. Is that how it should be? And since it has been 24 hours... do I intervene or let the duckling still work this out?! And if I intervene can I just put the duckling back in with the mama?
