Day old silkie chick - splayed legs

I recommend this brace! I tried the brace you have for my silkie chicks with splay leg, and it took forever to heal! This brace helped them in 1 day! No joke! Also, it is so much more comfortable for them. I used Rainbow Loom bands.
Good luck!

She is a cutie. Did you start vitamins containing riboflavin yet? Placing her in a padded cup or chicken chair/sling can help her touch the floor and help her balance. Here are some pics in this thread:

The vitamin supplement she has is a multivitamin, but it does contain vitamin B2, which I believe is riboflavin :) I'll have a look at designing a chair for her, do they basically work by stretching their legs down?

So tonight we took Joey Jr's leg strap off, I wanted to check for any improvement, and also change the strapping. Her left leg is looking great, but as you can see her right is bent at a horrible unnatural angle, almost like it's completely twisted and out of joint. She can move it and feel it, so it's not as if it's a dead limb. I'm not sure if the deformation has always been this severe and just masked by her splayed legs, or if it's got worse. She's moving around in her own unique, very clumsy, way, and getting a lot faster too! Any ideas what I can do about this right leg?

I wish I could help. Did you try the chick-chair?
I haven't tried a chair yet, as I've been at work today. But I'm not sure it would help anyway, as this is her leg completely relaxed (she fell asleep in my hand) unless I actually pull her leg, it doesn't turn in the right direction.

I have read some information online about Achilles tendons slipping out causing the leg to twist, and how to put them back. But I don't want to start messing around with that sort of thing unless I know for sure!
