, so much. Docs say she'll be in the hospital 4-5 days after the surgery if everything goes without a hitch. Her insurance has been terrible. First denying approval, then denying it again after it was scheduled again, and then finally after the 3rd set of docs got on them for the 4th time (that these docs were going to legally hold the insurance company liable) the insurance co approved it. The docs and surgeons had previously told us that either way she would receive this much needed surgery because they were going to donate all of their services if the insurance company wouldn't approve it. Amazing.

, isn't that the truth.

Her docs have been angels. So compassionate to DD, and they are very concerned for her health right now and said they would do whatever it took to get this done even if it meant putting all the hospital costs on their own tab. Their concern and devotion has been beyond anything I've seen for many a year. She's resting right now but is so scared. I'm not taking my medicines so that I will be able to drive to the hospital tomorrow. I can't sleep yet. I will update. Thank you again, everybody.

Thanks so much, Everybody.

She has had a very tough time of it. They found too much inside and did too much surgically to even begin to list it here. They discovered, once they opened her abdomen, that the fluids that filled her body cavity was actually blood...she was bleeding internally and could have bled to death if they hadn't done surgery when they did. It's amazing that she hadn't already bled to death. The docs that so tenaciously fought to get hospital coverage approved saved her life by fighting for it...

...and thank you for your prayers.

The surgery took a long time but they let her go home after surgery (when still not awake in recovery and couldn't breath when she started to wake up). She ended right back at the ER due to excessive wound bleeding because part of it was either not closed to begin with or popped open between recovery room and car, so they had to stitch it back closed in the ER.

So much has happened in the last 2 days after surgery that it's too exhausting to rehash. She's in such terrible pain and has a long rough road ahead of her. She needed a hyster but they didn't do one, to maybe try to give her a chance to have a child but they believe there's not much chance of that. They removed a lot of things and corrected some things.

They're putting her into menopause for the foreseeable future to try to ward off some other things.

I wanted to give you an update...thank you again.

Yes, so very fortunate. They said that not uncommonly when those types of tumors rupture the person just hemorrhages to death internally before anyone's aware of what's happening. It can be very quick or slow because those types have a well established blood supply. Among many other things, they removed several more of those, also.

Thank you.
