What all can you do with this stuff?

Just about anything you want to . They say it is good for worms . It is used as a binder for some feeds . you can seal ponds with it . Talked to a lady that puts it in her house hold grains like rice and beans to keep the bugs out . Just don't breathe the dust from it or let your chickens breathe it .Not good for the lungs at all .

It's useless against Red Mites so don't expect to dust your coop with it and be free of those suckers. I know this from first hand experience. It kills all forms of insects so be careful where you use it. I'm not a fan of the stuff especially when you read how it is mined.

You people sayDE is DANGORUS, It doesn't work, it will cause respatory infection, Ect, Ect, Ect!

NO.
DE is just DUST!
Chickens take dust baths all the time, and we don't stop them, do we?Its the same freaking thing!
DE may not work for mites, but it does help a little!
My mom swears by this stuff.It kill fleas, and worms, and Tomato Horn Worms!

This is just my rant.

DE is not just dust sadly. It is ground up shells with a high silica content. It is like breathing glass and will cut up lungs--irritate them and in people can lead to illness. Chickens will not see the cumulative effect since they do not live long enough but they will have irritated lungs if they breathe it.

If you use it be very careful and wear a mask

The Silicon Dioxide in DE causes scar tissue in chickens lungs imparing their respiration.

DE makes a good filtering medium for dangerous chemical compounds and it is good to use in some swimming pool filters but that is about it.
