So exciting! Can't wait to hear how your hatch goes.
Best to go to bed since it can take 12 hours or more for the chick to hatch. Remember...Santa doesn't come if you are awake. hahaha
I did go to sleep because I figured not much would happen although I didn't sleep well.
It's still technically day 18 here till 16:00 this afternoon. I peeked through the plastic windows and I can see one of the eggs wiggling.
Yay, how exciting!
I am very excited for you and the kids! Hopefully, they will get to see this! My daughter loved the pj monster idea...thanks!
No problem, they were pretty simple to make and I am not the greatest at sewing so if I could do it then anyone can.
Renee~ Did you get any sleep?
I got some but surprisingly I'm not tired at this point, I'm just so excited. I'll sleep well when they are all done hatching!
So if i understand right...my Hovabator has a thermostat, but i have to get it where it turns on and off at 100... which i have, overnight, nice and steady....now when i place the eggs in, it will drop, but come back up because i have the setting locked with the wing-nut....i shouldn't have to readjust it right?!!! ....also i 'm doing a dry hatch until lock down (the humidity is so high with all the rain)...ok...i'm almost ready to put my 6 eggs in![]()
In theory it should go back up to 100. I wouldn't mess with it for a while, it does taken many hours to get back up that high. Good luck!
My little one is still chirping, I love hearing it. I haven't seen the egg wiggle at all but I have seen it's beak working at the pip. He/she has gotten a little bit more done. No other pips yet but it's still only day 20. I'm good with knowing at least 1 is definitely alive at this point. Bad thing is I can't make myself get anything accomplished today. Well I have laundry going but I can't keep from staring at the incubator to do anything longer than throwing clothes in the wash or dryer! Such an exciting day, I hope the kids are home from school before he/she makes its way totally out. They were so excited this morning.
