Emergency! Emergency! I'm panicking! Today is the lock down day for my first incubator. So I went to check it for the last time and there are two peeping eggs!!!!!!! What? Why? What happened? What do I do? I had temp spikes and lows here and there but not by much and not for long.

did you mean that 2 eggs have pipped or you just hear 2 eggs peeping? If you hear them peeping then that's fine, they have probably internally pipped and if they have pipped that's fine too, that's why we start lockdown at day 18 because some could be ready to come out a little earlier than others. I am sure either way you are fine. But I am just a newbie, I only have 1 hatch under my belt.

they are fine. just keep your humitity up. if they are just peeping in the eggs do lock down as normal. if they are pipped make sure you keep that humidity super high while you lock down

Ok. Phew.
One at first looked like my husband's chubby hands broke another eggs because a big chunck of the shell is missing so I thought it was dead but there is noise and movement so yay not dead and the other one is cracked from the inside like normal. BUT if they hatch tonight and the others won't hatch for the next three days do I just let them sit there for this long like 4 day? Causing other eggs to turn flip and possibly crack or should I snag them really quick? And of course I turned them before closing for lock down which now I kind of regret.

The eggs had been under a broody hen for a solid day before being moved to the incubator, so they were warm. They were placed in the mini advance 20 hours ago. The temps had time to stabilize before I even went to bed last night, and were fine then. This is malfunctioning equipment problem  

Was it going through it's cooling cycle? Mine has a cooling cycle built in. I wish I had a broody hen. Hopefully things will be fine.

My poor little chick I just helped hatch is cross beaked and has two huge sacks where his eyes should be. I am completely beside myself.... What a day

now I'm having temp problems..good thing its in an empty bator though. my thermostat is saying one thing and my expensive supposedly accurate is saying something else

I know right! I think I at least solved the humidity problem for this go round though. temps should be fine too once I get the thermometer calibrated by the boyfriend tonight

I am putting myself in time out for Xmas. Maybe give it another shot in the spring...

Well I have 2 orders of shipped eggs coming in. one was shipped friday 12+ lf blue/lemon blue/ lemon splash cochins (tracking says they won't be here till friday though so thats not good) and another ships tomorrow. 18 BBS and paint silkies

Oh! Am I jealous?!!!! Totally! Where did you order the eggs? Did you get a new incubator?
