December hatch along

Pics
Well it's the end of the day on their due date, so far there are 3 babies out with another 10 pipped and 19 more eggs.

One of the Hybrid blue eggs hatched, it's black with the walnut comb, from what I could tell from the window.

I bet they are about the start pipping
i’m so tempted to candle for internal pips i’m making a total guess here, but based on the size of the eggs, the movement of the chicks so far, and high probability of early hatches i see the majority of this batch turning out to be cockerels!!

i’m on day 19 too and all eggs are still quiet here tonight.....i put them in lockdown yesterday morning and after work i started questioning whether i did it too early so i opened the incubator to turn the eggs manually and 1 egg started rocking around!! based on that i thought i might have some pips already but not yet

I did end up having to open my incubator quickly to put more water in. My water bowl I think was too small so I planned and put in a different one. I did see one kick around! Knowing my luck I’m gonna come home to pips

Thats the only reason I will open after lockdown, and when i do that I heat the water in the microwave before I add it so it creates a rush of Humidity as soon as I close it.

I know its temping but looking for an internal pip isn't going to increase your hatch rate or cause you to change something that will help. Patience!

That’s exactly what I did. Except I used my instant hot. They got a good rush of humidity, and I know it will lower to a good one soon.

I’m a finicky Mom just waiting for my hubby to report pips. Maybe I’ll see some when I get home, or maybe they will be more patient till tomorrow
