Slightly increased temperature will cause eggs to hatch early depending on how high the temp is there are studies that show reduced hatch rates and less vigor so weaker chicks after hatch also it’s not always the case but it does increase the odds and lowers the hatch rateMy current hatch I am keeping the temps down a degree. According to my thermometer my temps were 99/100 in November and my hatch started 2 days early. My December hatch the temps are 98/99 in hopes of getting getting a better rate of hatch. I don't remember my numbers but about 25 to 30% of my eggs going into lock down never hatch. I am wondering if possibly my temps were slightly too high which would explain the early hatching... and that what ever sped up the hatch may have sped up bacteria growth that killed the eggs that did not hatch. This is just a theory I came up with and figured I would share it incase someone knows more about this. My Thermometer might not be accurate and I do have a calibrated back up that is so tiny I struggle to read it. but I can tell its around 100 or slightly less
I look forward to you telling us about your new baby chicksHope I come home in the morning to baby chicks probably not but wouldn’t it be awesome
