Delawares Humming Along/ Due Feb 25th / Hatch Complete

Hope you do have a great hatch, Marlon. I'm pleased when I have one like I just did. I only wish that I had done the trimming on Suede's bunch before I collected for this hatch, but Skye's fluff, especially, snuck up on me. She a real fluffy girl!

Actually, Krista, if you want them now, you got them. You're name's up next, since Adam wants his later in March. PM me.

Score for Krista! The personality of these is amazing. They run to us when we open the door to the brooder, some even trying to jump out to get to us. They jump on each other, jostling for the front position next to their human parents. They love to get in your hand. They have the best personality from the start, very much like my Barred Rocks, who are also in that bunch to run to the door.

How exciting!

This is a new year for you Cyn Now it is going to be only the strong this year!! That is wonderful news and no one deserves it better than you do!

Cynthia~ Maybe it's in the air. I have a hatch going. I have 4 babies from two days ago, I was going to trash the rest, but they were alive last night when I went to pull them out. All pipped today. I've never had such a long drawn out event. There must have been a cold spot in the incubator I guess?

Thank you, Carrie, you are so sweet.

I'm going to start posting pic of the babies in Raising Chicks rather than here now.
These will be in the house for 2-3 weeks, then go to the little Firetower coop with their heatlamp then at about 8 weeks old, I'll move the entire bunch to the Delaware side of Suede's coop and remove Kira and her Welsummer pals to the Firetower. When they are about 14-15 weeks old, then Kira will go in with this bunch of Delaware youngsters.
