Delay in Submitting Posts

    Good morning [​IMG]

    For the last couple of days, I have noticed a delay when submitting posts. I originally thought it might have just been me but have since learnt that it is affecting other users as well.

    I will get a screen shot when it happens, but it has has been happening across multiple Forums and Threads.

    Google Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87
    Windows 10 Pro

    Thanks for all the great details! Ya, that would be annoying to wait 15+ seconds for a post to be submitted!

    Did anything change on your computer before it started happening? Does the same thing happen from another browser or different computer or even mobile device?

    Any other members having this problem? If so, please please see the information here:

    If none of those things help, please come back to this post and reply with all the information requested in that article above, especially:

    1) Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
    2) Have you deleted your internet cache / browser history of files and tried again?
    3) Have you tried a different browser? This allows you to test if it is a browser specific problem vs. a computer / network problem. We suggest Google Chrome or Firefox.

    Hey Nifty thank you!

    Nothing has changed on my computer. Still the same operating system and Chrome version from before the issue:

    Google Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87
    Windows 10 Pro

    Unfortunately I do not have a different computer on which to try it but could potentially test a mobile device later today. Unfortunately I am at work at the moment.

    Quite a few people [6 or so] on ‘The NFC B-Day Chat Thread’ have mentioned the problem but so far, have not followed the link I provided to share their experience. I have asked them again to pop over and share.

    Hopefully some other members will also assist with troubleshooting information. Otherwise, I will have a play after work.

    It's been happening to me the last couple days on my iPad and iPhone. Sometimes I just give up and wait until later. It has said that BYC needs to be updated as it may slow them down.

    I'm either on my tablet or smart phone on desktop or mobile mode. When posting, it will show the submitting icon and go until it eventually stops. Just like it did submit the post. Then when you try to submit again, it will say "You've already submitted to this thread!" It's only when you leave that thread and go to your subscriptions, do you actually see the post went through.

    Is it just that thread or other threads? Sometimes we have problems with really really long threads.

    We've had pretty solid success over the years with pretty good speed (for most users), and in almost all cases of problems like this, it's either related to addons / extensions in the user's browsers, or issues with really long threads, or... in some rare cases, we need to tweak server settings or restart the servers.

    The more people we have reporting the issue with details on browsers, steps to repeat, etc. the easier it will be for our tech team to look for, duplicate, and fix the problem!
