Sadly I just lost this pure bb red OEGB rooster I had put every one on free range and a hawk killed him

I came up with some Ideas for breeding #1 breeding that hatch cockerel to this jungle fowl hen my theory is the hatch are of course much larger . The chicks I get should be good flyers and good physique and hopefully good layers

One thing I am wondering If I cross a white colored leg roster to blue legged hen will some come out blue legged

I just this past week seen something I have never experienced with any of my chickens my red jungle fowl hen I was going on a trip I wanted to have her penned while I was gone she flew out of the pen and in pursuit she flew 50 - 60 feet 10 feet in the air perfectly then after that she was roosted in a bush and Spence she’s newly on free range I went to get her off in the dark and with a dim flashlight and she heard me and flew 20 feet to the chicken coops she is surely going to be a be vary important in breeding project her to my American game rooster should make a good cross

She has had a vary rough life I just got my jungle fowl in April and I got a rooster and hen and five chicks then my adult had five chicks of those chicks she had f 3 survived to what I call the chicken butcher at the last point I just had lost everything of the jungle fowl except one of those chicks my brood cock and this hen my other adult hen which thankfully I pulled off of free range then I checked on them that evening the coop was open and between then and morning it happened a fox (which killed most of them)killed all of them except her but I thought he got her I was so sad tell day 6 she came and got some

If the rooster is pure for white legs all his chicks will come out with white legs. The cockerels will all be carriers of blue legs, but will appear to be white leg. All the pullets will be pure for white legs. If you would breed those cockerels back to their blue leg mother you will get some white and some blue legs.
If the rooster is pure for blue legs and is bred to a hen with white legs, all the cockerels will be carriers of blue leg, but will appear as white leg males. The pullets will come white leg and blue leg 50/50 statistically.
