Developing my own breeds of gamefowl and bantam

Looking good, man. I'm getting excited for the breeding season to come on! (Hopefully in 1.5 months for me!) You should be getting some nice chicks soon.
I know me too, probably be the same for me before they start sitting, I always get them paired up early one year when I still had lanky I had them paired up in December January got a little ahead of myself but that way it gives me a little bit of time to get it done.
I hope sure hope so between red and my jungle fowl brood cock I think I'll have a good year.

Okay the time has come! 8 little chicks. Breeding season came in way early this year they started laying about a month ago and now we got chicks. I put 12 eggs in 6 jungle fowl 5 of reds hen and on off the lanky x American hen that i think possibly is off red as well and out of that 3 that I can tell are jungle fowl one is off the American lanky cross and the rest should be of reds hen who I’ve started calling hen 1 and I’ve got another clutch of the jungle fowl and hen 1 in the incubator due to hatch on march 16. Hen 1 has stoped laying it appears and since I can tell their eggs apart I put the lanky American cross hen in with red as well I will probably let the hens hatch this next batch. And then last but not least since this is tittles gamefowl and bantam I thought id share that I’ve got 16 OEGBs on the way arivving the week of the 12th and the 17th 8 bb reds and 8 whites some to re start my American game bantam project and some to breed to SOP very excited to get back into them again. Kind of a long update but I believe that is it and I will probably be back with some more pics of these new chicks when the OEGBs come.

I see OEGB, that makes any update good. Lol! Congratulations!
I'm excited to see those little game chicks grow. It'll be interesting to see if they get reds big tail.

I know I’m very excited to get back into them especially trying out the whites. Thank you.
Me as well. I’ll bet they will being hen 1 and red both have good tails I think that is something I’ll be breeding for. Something that I have noticed is all the chicks so far that I think are off red are pea combed which is ok but but I would have thought they would have been straight combs at least some of them.

The whites are here one seems to be lethargic but the rest are looking okay. I’m hoping to get at least one to two pairs but we will see how they tun out.

The little game chicks are looking pretty good for just 2 weeks old. Once it gets a little warmer out I’ll take them to the outside brooder.
Also one jungle fowl hen started setting on 12 eggs. Then that other batch of eggs is due to hatch Sunday, I did have some incubator problems so we will see what happens
