She's only one! :( I got her as a 5 day old chick one year ago yesterday. I feel so bad for her. Do you think I should take her back out to the coop so she hopefully will move around more? I will give her electrolytes too.

I got her to stand up normally finally and eat and drink. I think she is just exhausted and a little malnourished. :( put her back outside?

bellah
i wish i had advice between the two choices but i personally use two still airs .. one home made and one styro bought one ... my duckies that did hatch did fine in the still air ... i think its probably a matter of personal choice ...but i will let the others help ya there

Wow I had a very busy day.... This afternoon I went to tractor supply and got lots of bedding and food for my birds and then the hardware store for plants, and when we got home it was raining but I went straight outside and cleaned the chicken coop, fed and watered the birds, and planted the garden. When I got back inside I was soaking wet and covered in hay and mud xD and then I vaccumed the floor, cleaned and set the table, and finally ate dinner. Phew! But at least the birds are happy now xD
Good for you! Hay is itchy! shavings make me sneeze! so either way I hate cleaning coops!

I just wanted to show you all this amazing picture. To me it is anyways. You may have already had personal expierenced candiling your eggs. But this was amazing I ran around around the house with this egg looking for my hubby to take a photo. Look at this.

What do you all think that is. It was doing a yawning motion. Absolutely awesome.
I just wanted to share.
cool images!

What do u all think I should do about the incubators? Should I use the still air hovabator 1602 or my brand new circulated air temp controlled genesis for locking down the more expensive eggs? The one I don't use for those ones I really want to hatch will be used to keep incubating the rest of my eggs that aren't due for another 2weeks. I was just thinking the genesis would be the better of the two for hatching but then I've heard the fans can dry out duck eggs during hatching, is there any truth to that?
I actually think there is truth to that, but I think its more towards homemade bators with those fans blow ALOT of air around, so I don't think it matters. just pic the one you know how to use the best!
