Its not the testing part that has me worried, she said she will work with me with the property stuff. Its the future and weighing the probability of disease in a flock and the probability of causing major money flow from our already empty pockets if it would ever happen. I refuse to look at only the positives and not negatives you know me! What I am doing now is searching Inet for some sorta lists or locations of US Poultry diseases, I cant find anything so if anyone else can I would love to see what goes on around our country. This information should be somewhere I would think. Or do you have a link chicks?
what you are looking for is like a CDC report on infectious disease outbreaks in humans. Let me dig around

Still think you are being rather doomsday on this.

I received some shipped eggs and one was broken with yolk on half the other eggs. It's dried one and a little smelly. I know you aren't supposed to wash eggs but what do I do in this instance? Thanks!

So I have been looking and reading and finding nothing like what you are looking for. Everything I have been reading is that testing and requirements very by state.

in 2011 there were 2 reports of Avian flu outbreaks in turkeys. 40,000 turkeys were destroyed. In the same year 238,000,000 turkeys were eaten. If you were a turkey farmer you would have a 0.01% chance of having turkeys with the disease. No reports of avian flu in 2012 or half of 2013. Thats 600million turkeys that made it to the dinner table. 20,000,000,000 eggs and 5,000,000,000 chickens were not destroyed for avain flu in the USA during the same 2.5 years.

I say the odds are pretty low.............. hang on.... the sky is falling
