Help?!

Sorry sweetheart

I had to go do something quick. That whitish stuff on her leg is normal, it's just egg "gunk", I've seen it before with some of my chicks, nothing to worry about. You can pick it off if you go in there. I can't really tell from the pics what's going on with that little bump. Is it by her navel? Keep her separate and dab a little antiseptic cream on her navel. Then give her time and see what happens. She's such a pretty little thing, I hope she's going to be o.k.

OMG me too! I love her so much! Here is a thread that has a picture that looks exactly like it.

I hope it is just the umbellical cord! Can I put diluted rubbing alcohol on it? What do you mean by antiseptic?

She is so cool looking, there is another chick in there too that I haven't shown a picture of, and I think I have ANOTHER pip!

Yep... Looks like several that I've hatched. Most of the time I've noticed that it remains in the shell once they do the final kick out. I believe it is what holds the yolk prior to it being absorbed. It should connect to the navel if its what I think it is. Aneseptic ointment is like neosporin (WITHOUT PAIN RELIEVER). Not yelling here its just very important. :D Is that chick 2 or 3?

The other chick looks like it has eyeliner on, and a brown spot on her head- that sounds like a certain breed, but I can't remember it...? I'll post a pic later.

Chick 2. The third one is okay.

Thanks, Rockashelle, I just couldn't remember Neosporin. I must make a list of your meds that I can refer too.
3D that pic in the thread you link is much better! LOL It is the navel. Put the Neosporin on it, if you have some, and leave it. I'm going off now, but I'll check on you first thing tomorrow. And congrats on the chicks
