2nd glass of wine - I know but we were doing the birthday cake and I was tired and felt like I deserved it. It was better then keep on liking the butter icing from my fingers!

none - had to bake with DH.

How do I feel?
Been out all day very stressful so I have not had a chance to think about food at all. Mental note to self "eat or you die"! Still being Friday I guess it doesn;t matter because it is special night anyway! I have a big confession to make. We were doing the butter cream icing for Jessicas cake and I was abscent mindedly spreading it when I realised I was liking it off my fingers!!!!!! BAD GIRL!!!!!! NO FAT SHELT THOU EAT!!!!!!
So I am to do lots of excersize to make up for it! It's the party tomorrow so that will doubtless be a big challenge for us both.

That ten stone is just around the corner...

Speaking of which, do scales show stones and fractions thereof? Or do you have to do the math in your head? Dealing with increments of 14 would make my head hurt.

I think it is what we are used to - your lbs do my head in as I have to keep thinking stones and convert. It is just tooo much so I like my stones much!!! Our scales show lbs and stones also kg - but I ignor those.

1 chocolate biscuit - I think it had massive amounts of cals in but the packet didn;t say how much. I was hungry and everything else was really high cal. Also it was the only thing in a sealed packet! I saw the state of DDs kitchen before everyone came.

Salmon, boiled potato and Zuccini with tomato's
fruit flavoured water.

How do I feel
Jolly proud of myself because I got through the hardest day with nothing worse than a chocolate biscuit and some butter cream licked from my fingers! I am still feeling very fat compaired to other girls. I really wish I could get rid of the belly fat. It still really shows under my frocks. I guess next week I will really need to get the excersize in and hope that I can shift at least some of it. One thing I noticed my legs are thinner as I can now do the zip up on my boots to the top!!!!!

DAY THIRTEEN
19th August



Last night I weiged in at 10.6 lbs Fantastic as I so could have pigged out!
This am I am 10.5lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beef roast, 1 boiled new potato, Mixed veg.
Cherry pie!!!!! ( Low fat filo pastry) A drizzle of low fat cream.

15 mins on x tranor ( Feel like I am dieing!!! )
Then Dh made me do 5 mins on his new tred mill to " test it out" - ahhhhhhh.

How do I feel
I feel really proud of myself. I didn't pig out at the party as I knew all the food there was high fat - mostly because the buns came from us so I know what went in them!
This morning I felt so confident in my own self control I made my disabled son Fried bacon and tomato with scrambled eggs and brown sauce. It is his favourite but I was avoiding things like that because I knew that I would just want to eat it too. I made it for him and I didn;t even have the slightest incling of wanting some. So I am being more self controled and wise over what I eat but I am also able to face the reality that others will and are going to eat high cal high fat foods in front of me. I am looking foward to my own cooked breakfast while I am on holiday as someone else will be making it!!!!!!
I am still very aware I have a belly that needs got rid of. I am hoping for a miricle before I go away and wear my swim suit. Also I saw some beautiful clothes for sale in Spain and so wanted to buy some but last time I was too big to fit. - I was 10.1 lb then. I am 10.5 now? There will have to be some really hard work involved to get this off in the next while. Tomorrow I will be halfway through this and I am certain I will not be lossing weight at this rate of knotts in the final two weeks. OMG I can smell beef and I am feeling hungry! Wow haven't had a good bit of meat in ages!!! ( I ate too much and had to go excersize!)

I have been taking half an orange and squeezing it into some water to flavour it rather than the shop bought. Though the shop bought only has a trace of fat it tastes really sweet. Sometimes I think I should water it down. My taste buds are hyper sensitive right now.
How do I feel
I feel like I have eaten more than I should today. I think making a cherry pie was a mistake because it was so nice. I had to stop myself from doing that bad mummy bit - scrapping the bowl and eating it! I scrapped the bowl into my sons dish and then threw it under the tap! I was not doing so well with the sauce from the salmon fillet though. Also since the cherry pie I have been dreaming of steak pie and chips! How bad is that. I am hoping that I do better tomorrow. It is all very hard work but I also feel so much better in myself. DH actually rode his bike this morning OMG - how brill is that as he hasn;t done that since before his heart attack 3 yrs back.The new stent work was only done a week ago and already he is wanting to go out on his bike. He is doing lots of excersize too. I am so proud of him. He is looking really nice and down to a trim 15.7. Only a short time ago he was heading for 19 stone so I am well pleased. He is wanting to see a 14 something on the scale before we go away so we are on the same track. HIm being 15.7 needs to lose another 8 lbs to see a 14 and me being at 10.5 need to lose another 6 lbs to get a 9 stone something. I think if we keep this up we should manage it?

How do I feel
I am a bit disheartened that I am not losing the weight as I was. However it is the normal pattern of weight loss and so it is not unusual. I am also excersizing a lot more so am feeling muscle growth which weighs more than fat. I did a quick BMI check today. I am looking at the figures here and it says I would need to lose 9 lbs more. I was thinking I would try for 9 and a half stone which is a loss of 11lbs more but I don;t see me getting that before I go away. It is the top end of the accaptable weight for my hight. I do know that I feel FAT when I sit down there is a distinctive rubber ring round my middle - not a good look in a pretty frock or swim wear. I can deffinately see where that 11 lbs is sitting. The thing is when your busy eating like crazy and putting on the lbs you don;t seem to want to notice things like that - but then one day you look in the mirror and YOUR FAT and your clothes don't fit! It is like it happened without you there but it does. Part of this project is becoming more body aware, knowing my limits and biulding up some self control.

Your BMI value is 26.5 and your category is OVERWEIGHT
You need to lose 9 pounds to have a normal BMI value.

Week one I lost 7 lbs
Week two I lost 3 lbs
= loss of 10lbs. I really have to start doing better than this. I can't lose just 3lbs in a whole week. Now I put that down it is entirley disheartening. This last week has been a struggle. MUST DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!

OMG sooooooooo bad. I went to change our disabled lad and told DH to order as we had gone out for lunch.
We were at the new restbite centre so had to eat out as Dan needed food.
When I got back Dan had lovely healthy looking sandwhiches he was tucking into.
There in front of my place was a plate full of an enormous bacon and cheese melt wrap with side salad dripping in olive oil? WHY??????

Of course I had to eat the wrap which was stuffed with high cal cheese!!!!!! I left the side salad. DH did as well. Once we left he said - "oh love I wish I had not eaten that!!!!!!"

So now I have to do extra exersize and not eat the lovely bit of fish I had out for Dinner. Now it is a bit of fruit! Maybe some slimma soup! Put myself on the scale when I got in and it was up to 10.6 from 10.4 Ugh!!!!! Hope it comes off before tonights weight check.

How do I feel
I am a bit annoyed because DH seemed to have felt because we were eating out it was a licence to order the most fattening food on the menu? Now I will have to work double hard to get rid of it again and I was so pleased with my 10.4lbs.

Congratulations on your success so far!!!

If I may, I'd like to suggest a few things you may want to add or change in your diet. I only want to see you succeed!

Cutting down your coffee is a good thing for sure! 20 cups a day...down to 5, thats amazing!

The trend I see is, I don't think you get enough water (and not that fruity flavored crap - it's not healthy for you).. you should have a glass of regular water with every meal and snack...Toss in some lemon or fruit slices for some flavor, I know water can get horribly boring! Keep using water for in between if your hungry. It helps your body process and eliminate foods. (and may help with the headaches).

I see your food choices are lots of sweets.. fruits and berries get converted to sugar quickly and are more readily stored by the body as fat. (you could be sabotaging yourself). I would suggest cutting back on sweets with every meal, and have a fruit for your snacks, but use more foods higher in fiber like veggies and you may want to add more lean meat like chicken, fish, veal, or protein sources, like chick peas to your salad etc.

the last thing........ is the amount of exercise. I don't know your circumstances,. weight, mobility etc... but. or what 10 min on the tread mill means - (walking or running) You should really try to fit in at least 3 of the 10 min work outs at minimum per day, or 1 hr every day of a brisk, out of breath when your done, walk. Every day!! It's amazing how much faster the weight will come off your body when it needs to burn energy... energy is burned from fat!

this is one of my typical daily meal plans when I was dieting to really lose weight fast (I still am doing close to this, but just for maintenance)
Stick to recommended serving sizes, we usually eat 2 to 3 times the amount we should eat if you eat any processed foods (best not to, but some times it's hard)!
breakfast: serving size of oatmeal or granola cereal w/raisins (1/2 cup)
snack: handful of veggie sticks
Lunch: tuna (small can) and big salad
1 hr hard walk at work
snack: apple
Dinner: steak or chicken - grilled and green beans and salad.
Snack:: may or may not eat, but usually veggie sticks or a yogurt
evening treadmill - walking/run 1/2 hr
I drank over 72 oz of water daily (about 2 quarts)- no pop or coffee (talk about tough!)

Salads and veggie sticks are things you can eat a lot of and NOT starve yourself!!!

One more thing... I think you should change your title from FAT COW to Diary of a SKINNY CHICK!!!
