Differences EE, Ameraucana, & Araucana * Pls post pics*

Pics
I ordered 5 EE's from My Pet Chicken this year. They are now 5 months old, and I got my first green egg 2 days ago! And one yesterday too, so I think that at least 2 are laying green. They were very timid, and I handled them a ton. It is only recently, since they started 'squatting' that they have gotten a lot friendlier. 1 EE, Ginger, is the friendliest chicken, but also lowest in the pecking order. She loves when I carry her around and talk to her. I guess she thinks she is a baby. I let her in the house a lot. Her sister Nutmeg is second lowest, and I cannot touch her at all. She will eat out of my hand, though, and is always pretty close to me, so I guess you could call her friendly. The other 3 fit in very well with the rest of the flock.

All 5 have willow colored legs, beards and muffs. People always comment on how cute they are. A little off topic, but I also ordered Barred Rocks from MPC and they are great birds too. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future. But with 42 birds, I think we are set for several years! I like that MPC actually advertises them as "Easter Eggers". I know that not a lot of hatcheries do that.

Not a great picture, but here is Nutmeg. Ginger and Egg Drop have similar coloring but they are prettier. The last one, Ellie, is striking because she has a red head, dark beard and muffs and a partridge body. They don't stay still enough to get a good picture:

Ok, I'm confused. I have 4 "EE's". The hatchery said they were Ameraucanas (yes, they spelled it correctly.) ONe of them is a recognized color, but the rest are mixed. So they are EE's right?

I've had EE's for a while now, and I finally hatched some true araucanas! None have full tufts. Here are a few pics

This is one of my araucana pullets.

Here is a duck winged roo, unfortunately, partially tailed.

A blue araucana pullet. She is a real sweetie and comes up to the pen door every day to be picked up.

I'm hoping to purchase some eggs from someone who has some tufted araucanas.

I was wondering what to look for when sexing EE's what are different between the roos and chickens? I have one that I think might be a roo but I am not sure he hasn't found his voice yet? I would post a picture but I have to figure out how to do it, I am new to this site. I added him as my avatar, what do you think?

I need to look back to see if I posted all three of mine (Araucanas, Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers)

, sorry you had to wait this long for a response on your post. Avatars are pretty tiny, but I suspect that is indeed a roo. Are his hackle (neck) feathers long and pointy? Looks like he might also have long, draping, pointy and narrow saddle feathers (feathers on his back just before his tail). The coloring also makes me suspect he's a roo. Here's what to look for on most all breeds: is the comb bigger? Did it come in sooner and redder than the others? Pointy hackle feathers and saddle feathers? Roo type coloring in some breeds. It's not hard to upload a picture. Click uploads on the top menu bar of you screen and browse for you picture and click upload. There is more information in the introduction info for newbies.
