It's normal. I have five week old silkies that believe they can fly and that I'm going to eat them. They get friendlier as they get older. Around point of lay they usually mellow

If I cross my black Ameraucana hen with my Red Brown Ameraucana rooster am I ruining Ameraucana genes for my chicks? Should I only breed certain color to certain color?

It wouldn't necessarily "ruin" but you won't get 100% pure colored chicks. If it's an off unrecognized color it's unarguably an Easter Egger. You'll get splits which then bred on, your not gonna know what your going to get. You will get Easter Eggers which are unshowable crosses. If you want pure Ameraucanas then same color to same color.

I have pictures! All the adults are EE, as I'm not getting ANY blue eggs. Not sure what the lil one is, we'll see....

The others are BO and BCM chicks.

Male or Female? It's 6 weeks old.

With that red comb looks like a rooster. Are the saddle feather pointed?
At 6 weeks it won't have pointed saddle/hackle feathers yet...I don't think they get those until the get their adult feathers at 5-6 months.

Is that an Easter Egger?...You might just have to wait for crowing or squatting to know for sure.

Yes it's an Easter Egger rooster crossed with my Red Sex-Link hen. So yeah, it's an Easter Egger.
