Ok good. I just gave mine cooked rice as a treat tonight because the chickens wouldn't share their noodles. You're fine, it's a myth.![]()
Both are safe. The uncooked rice is an urban legend that started in the 70's or 80's I think.Cooked rice but now uncooked?
Yeah, there is a myth about horses and Beet Pulp along the same lines... You don't have to cook it, but it "is supposed to be" soaked before feeding. Some researchers decided to test this theory and fed a group of ponies 50% of their entire ration (hay included) in dry beet pulp to see if there were any problems, not a single one had an issue with the dry beet pulp and yet, "everyone" is afraid to feed the stuff dry.I always heard that uncooked rice causes songbirds to explode internally, which is why we pelt brides with birdseed. Now that I think about it, it does seem rather suspect. However I think the flavor and texture of cooked oats and rice is much nicer!
Me too!And I've learned more about duck penis than I ever wanted tooif someone searches my phone history they're going to think I'm the biggest weirdo around
