Yes it is sad. Really I do not see the difference in how people are trying to control how people breed dogs and people who have too many kids and can't take care of them. We need laws preventing this, like in China you can have 1 child if its a girl you can try again. I think 2 kids at most for most people is enough and already hard enough to take care of. Im not saying people are dogs its a comparrison in my mind people are animals too.

Taking the proposal at face value: unfortunately "sterilization" is not as easy as all that. Tubal ligation ("having your tubes tied") is not actually any much more effective for preventing pregnancy than proper use of the Pill (amazing but true), and if someone with 'tied' tubes does become pregnant the complications can be serious. Hysterectomy carries with it a host of other physical side-effects. Vasectomy for men is pretty straightforward and effective, BUT does not really address pregnancy rates as such.

The difference between 'the pill' and sterilization is that one is usually an enforced, not a willing, act. I think the pill should be readily available. It's not as dangerous as many would have us believe. People in cities breathe much worse. A very important point here is the fact that you can stop taking pills and expect to get pregnant, a reverse tubal ligation is sketchy. If people understood the full picture fully, it's very probable they would choose birth control pills, hopefully along with condoms.

Thinking about birth control when the child is a teenager is not helping.

Kinda pointless to say the parents should have had the pill etc....

Things change at the drop of a HAT, they might have been lottery winners 12 years ago - and totally BROKE now.
