Dixie Chicks

Not him. His offspring though. I'll post pics he's really differnt...

Would love to see him! His papa was beautiful! :D

quit giving my birds ideas! The ohiki are back with the program (hopefully). They were chasing bugs in their run just a minute ago.

So am I, the pot said sinetti or something. It looked pretty, so I bought it. Lol.

Mini, quit talking to my chickens! :D

It was the Ohiki, lol...

Awesome plant! Beautiful!

How long do you think I'm going to have to put these dumb silkies in their coop at night? Second week now. There is no ramp just hop up a few inches, it's only temporary until I have time to build a tractor. I wonder if we ever get some rain if they'll go in on their own, probably not, I bet they huddle up get soaked and cold and die on me :-(
Still no SandHill chicks, maybe next week :-( I only ordered from them because they have a closed flock of Golda Miller line white jersey giants, but they don't cull to standard. Now I've found someone that has the same original line also, but has been breeding them to standard :-(

Wonder if you left them locked in for a few days would they "learn" where home is?

I think it has something to do with being fluffy-headed stubborn balls of fuzz, lol... my hen goes back into the coop to lay her egg every single day, but night falls and they are all facedown on the ramp... I swear they all think of their face is to the ground nobody can see them, lol...

It took mine over a month to finally figure it out. They are dumb...Mine have been laying an egg a day for me for a couple months straight though.
Im pretty sure my male has been getting the job done on some buff brahma females. Its a crazy sight with the hens carrying him on their backs. I will know for sure Wednesday

I hope they can handle big girls, if and when I get them I'll be putting one white jersey giant pullet in with the white silkies eventually

It just came out, bama... lol...

Beer, be careful... make sure the pullet is still a bit smaller than the Silkies body mass when you put her in with them... my other Paint Silkie roo I lost cuz he was chasing a full grown Jersey tail and she killed him... pecked him directly on his throat and broke his trachea... he went out with a bang at least...
