Dixie Chicks

Happy Birthday to our birthday "kids" :hugs :D  June is the best month! ;)

Definitely get rid of the snow.. don't need a reminder of that here, LOL just a few more months left until that's back.

Alaskan, we want pictures!

I want to put my 3 week old Ancona's in with the adult Cayuga's, but think it may not be a good idea food wise.
I wouldn't do it. Food differences plus the adults may attack the little ones.

While I was gone DH accidentally let the little ones in with the big guys.. for 2 days!!! Guess I get to be thankful nothing happened!
got lucky. My Ancona are territorial. Let a strange duck in and someone's getting the crap beat out of them. It's not just the drakes either, the hens are bad too.

Happy birthday @RavynFallen.

My bantam phoenix have left the local post office in Georgia. Figure yours are on their way too @Alaskan .

Gotta set up a brooder for them.

Is that dumpling @Amberjem?

been lucky with flock intergrations so far, havent had any problems :)

I was going to build a tractor for my six silkies, I don't have the time. I'm thinking this weekend the wellie roo that attacked my almost three yr old, and attacked my eleven yr old will lose his head, and the wellie hen who hasn't laid a egg since this winter and one EEgr with a blowed out crop and I don't think has ever laid a egg.
Then I'm going to see if the rest get along with the silkies. I think they will, I never see any of them aggressive or peck each other and the silkies are getting big. I'll need their temporary coop/run for the bunch I might be getting from SandHill eventually anyway. I'll worry about building tractors after I figure out IF I get the SandHill chicks. I'd rather use them more as breeding pens so it could probably wait until next spring.
