I didn't get my isabel leghorns, long story short I got 2 brown split to isabel pullets coming to me sometime.

ah *insert choice of words here*. 4 boys! I'll have girls I can send you but they probably have feathers on their legs.

The bigger black still has a couple on upper shanks, no biggie... feathers are a pain, but don't bother me... these guys are super sweet... it's weird cuz the only 2 that crow is the bigger black and the GDW... faces look like girls on the other 2, but those combs, lol...

Bummer, but splits are better than plain browns...

That's what I was thinking when I first saw those combs pop up in last pics, lol... it is my curse this year... I hatched 2 batches of Cream Legbars too, every one I got was a boy... sent eggs to someone and they got 3 boys and 4 girls...

Its the boy curse. It happens to all of us now and then.

Speaking of boy curse.....DS called last night 10:30pm. He went to Arkansas with cousin. I advised against it, but it's not the 1st time and he is 23 years old, so what do I know? Anyways, last night he was mad at the situation there and just wants to come home. (I told him so!!

) Last time he went there with his wife and they came back with stars in there eyes ready to move there. She was ready to quit her job at the school and move during the summer to relocate there. I started throwing out numbers, moving truck$, ga$, hou$ing, grocerie$, rent, car upkeep, electric, phone$, etc. Thankfully they called me back later that night and said they had decided to wait. So, he does listen.

I kept telling him last night that I needed to get some sleep. Had to be up at 5am this morning. Lots to do. Have to get paperwork for stupid car crash. Man, oh man. If ever I am in a wreck, I am calling a lawyer to come to the scene and everyone in the car is going to the hospital. It's a shame. DH and I have spent SO MUCH TIME on the phone, faxing over info, and mailing info for them. Arguing. Arguing. Arguing. I was sitting at a stop light! Somehow they will try to make it seem as if it's my fault....? Butt heads. They have paid very little and now I am fighting for reimbursement for the rental car. The rental car from the rental company that THEY set up. Wish me luck. I am not giving up!

@perchie.girl , I am so proud of you! That is awesome weight loss and glad it is making a difference. After work today I am taking mom and dad dinner. My dad has not been able to walk in YEARS. Possible a decade. An in home therapist has been working with him and the other day mom called and said he stood for 1 minute 15 seconds. He is wheelchair bound and it's sad. I hate to think that is my future. I will make sure it's not. Sounds like you are taking great strides to make sure it's not your future as well.

@perchie.girl , I am so proud of you! That is awesome weight loss and glad it is making a difference. After work today I am taking mom and dad dinner. My dad has not been able to walk in YEARS. Possible a decade. An in home therapist has been working with him and the other day mom called and said he stood for 1 minute 15 seconds. He is wheelchair bound and it's sad. I hate to think that is my future. I will make sure it's not. Sounds like you are taking great strides to make sure it's not your future as well.

Thank you .... My goal is just as you say... to be able to move... walk reach bend.... Freaking sit on the floor cross legged.... Oh that would be a great one.

Its hard to build anything from a chair. The last Shed I built was about six years ago. a rubbermaid product that was HUGE big enough to store my wooden road cart in. and all my tack. Bought the materials for the floor... easy peasy right... three sheets of plywood and pressure treated four by fours... I got it all layed out... I wasnt using a walker yet. I got it all layed out and couldnt hammer in the nails to hold it all together. I couldnt kneel or sit on the wood... So in order to nail it all together I had to lay flat on my stommach to get close enough to both hold the nail and hammer it.

That was my last build.... with wood.

Yeah I know TSC silkies do not look any where near show quality, but they're huge and he will be great for my purposes. He had those spurs at twelve weeks. Sussex to the right, giants in the back, laced EE then brownleghorn to the left.

Really happy with the sussex, colors are looking real good.
