Been keeping busy wit hall kinds of stuff, but thought I'd pop in for a bit again.
Mini, how many did you get? We had a litter yesterday, dumb first timer mom decided to give birth in the toilet instead of the tunnels so we had to give her a nest box. This is my own design, featuring a huge 130 liter Ikea container, a 5 liter bucket, and some zip ties. That's about 40 gal and 1 gal respectively for the metrically challenged people.

We might be getting another litter any day now too, if Lisbeth's sister Inkeri is in fact preggers. They both went for a weekend visit to a buck about a month ago.Today would be day 30-32. I don't know how many wee ones were in this litter, but I'd say close to ten.
In chicken news, Klaara who survived the hawk attack has regrown her feathers pretty much. You can see the Sussex blood in her, a lot of white tipped feathers have appeared among the black ones. Wilma started laying a while ago, and Töyhtis just came back online this weekend after quite a long molt. She is sporting quite an interesting hairdo. Klaara's been visiting the nest boxes a bit too, so she might start producing again soon as well. Her sisters are still freeloading though. Have to place an axe by the coop or something.
Hope you all had a good turkey day and whatnot. We just celebrated our independence day in the weekend, along with Karin's mom's 60th birthday.
