I just dropped Shelby(my rottweiler) off at the vets office for emergency surgery. She has been acting oddly since Sunday and got super sick Thursday night and there aren't any vets around that would see her and it took an act of Congress to get anyone to see her today. She's never been fixed since we were showing her. Her abdominal cavity is filled with fluid/pus and they think it's her uterus that's causing it. She's older now at almost a full 10years old. They said there is a chance she won't survive surgery due to being older and already sick. I'm willing to try though. Figure at least if she passes I'm surgery she won't be in pain anymore while under anesthesia. They're going to do surgery this afternoon and let me know how things go. I've had her since she was 8 weeks old and deemed vicious by a friend of mine. She was going to dump her at the pound and I wouldn't let her.
 
My normal vet was super busy and couldn't see her till Monday but I know she wasn't going to be able to wait that long if she had any chance left at all.
