Its lovely 45°F here but the wind is bad and super cold :/

Yipppeeee it hit 29 degrees right now. Maybe it might hit 30 by 1-2 pm bf it drops to 1 degree again tonight and is it ever windy in these mountains. The wind chill the other day was -18 but I have not looked today. The wind is awful. Want sun and warm weather. Really ai am so happy not to be in Deaths waiting room (Florida) they get too hot and humid for me during the summers.

Really dreading going out this morning. Now I know why people put up those tunnels from one building to another. But our buildings are so far apart.....

I have seen them and I have been in them. They are above ground walkways from building to building. But our buildings are all over the place and we have too many acres to even contemplate that. Gosh. If I could turn back the hands of time I would plan the layout so differently but half of the buildings were here when we bought this place. There is one place on a hill top near us that was built by a man. Completely self contained right down to the windmills that pump up the water and the solar panels on the south roof for electricity. Oh. If you look back to medieval days,.. they literally built fortresses. If I had to do things over again... I would build at the top of our mountain. Four building would be the limit and There would be walk ways that connected the buildings that were walls to keep Out the bear, Coyote and such. Really! I am so tired of those bear with all their hell raising and those darn Coyotes raiding the chickens and such. Oh if ai had to do this all over again I would plan for the days I would be older and plan for bad weather.
