hey! me too!...and I am tired from doing it too..........and it is getting colder here i'm blaming it on some weird vortex where @sourland cursed @Alaskan and @hennible deflected it causing it to land in my backyard... .....it's @Alaskan 's fault

heya @JW12 what's hanging? ...evening @NotAFarm just incase I havent mentioned it before I really enjoy discussing chicken stuff with you, your very helpful in your information.. I think you and @perchie.girl have some of the best presentations over information... it seems like a very lovely skill..and I wanted to thank you for sharing these things

RIP 1953-2021
I crashed today. Normally my sleep is fragmented.... about four hours at night and a nap from noon till dinner time. Grandma didnt sound like she felt good yesterday so I turned the baby monitor up and was sleeping with hyper vigilance.... very lightly all night. Not a sound which also makes me worry... Any way all was good this morning.... she was chirp chrip chirp the morning person shes... Whew.
Sometime last night I put a corned beef on in the crock pot... I just put it on for ten house because it was partially frozen... Used Chicken broth instead of water for the moisture... So when i did get up this morning whew boy the house smelled good.
My son is in the middle of a project so my bandwidth is pretty narrow... I cant view viedo and forget trying to down load anything.
Almost dinnertime to night and I realized I forgot the cabbage....
I quartered the cabbage and thew it in a pot with a bout three carrots cut into two inch chunks and ladled the broth from the crock pot over the top.... OH MY GAWD....
I put two thickish slices of Corned beef on grandmas plate and a chunk of cabbage... Her usual saying is... "Oh my I cant eat all that its too much... " my usual saying is "Just eat what you want the rest wont go to waste..." She practically cleaned her plate.... "SUCCESS"
Living with a 98 year old woman is like living with a four or five year old with Hundred year old memories. You cant treat them like children but you have to be careful they understand what it is you are doing. hard to do without insulting someone.
She is going to be 99 in July. I hear that the President sends them a letter on their hundredth birthday... hoping here.
Right now shes all fussed up about the Tax preparer and what Documents she needs to bring to her. Her last one passed away.... nice guy Ex CIA... interesting to talk to... This one is new to her and Her trust in her knowledge is very limited. Even though the gal is my age.... lol. Shes also mad at the bank... "That woman did something now I have all these notices... " ON and on... Any time I try to make a suggestion she shuts me down with the look that I dont know anything... So I just say if shes upset talk to her lawyer... that stops it dead. ,,,,
Today mom called and shes all confused with her medication. Shes getting ready for a second Cataract surgery. Man you have to be a Philadelphia lawyer in order to decipher what days she gets what drops in her eye... Prior and Post Surgery.... I cant go into moms house unless its an emergency... I certainly cant stay with her... So my Cousin from northern California is coming down to deal with her meds prior and post... Yay. The surgery is on the fifth. I got mom settled when I reminded her that Cuz is comint to take care of it all. Whew.
So thats my life Today I took time out to catch up on sleep.

Oh and the sweet onions looked really good... Fondled the chocolate covered rasisns but put em back.... and remembered why I was there and Zoom back home.

Cabbage is like a blank slate and needs some careful seasoning to make it tasty... The broth from the corned beef is all it needed....
