Awe cute.
Yeah I'm suspecting hen, funny thing is they are sex linked. Any one know the odds a pullet will hatch with the cockerel colouring?

Hmmm, I thought it was just a barred rock? What makes them sex link originally? Usually a barred female to a black male makes barred males and solid females

Can't answer that question, they were mystery eggs from a farmers market. Yup as far as I understand thats how it works but this one sure looks like a hen. Body shape and the works are different from the boys.
Early on one was questionable the, head spot was faint... But it grew up barred so I assumed male, now I'm pretty sure she's a she...

Your male looks lighter barred than the female

2 1/2 months, two male are dark, 2 are light, then 3 black girls and the barred female.

There most of them I think... And an EE I'm thinking is a roo now
