I'm sorry! I'm assuming you wanted the rosecombs due to keeping from getting frostbite?

I can't help but laugh about the "non homo" roo comment. Rosecomb is dominate over single comb but if he only carries 1 copy then he will throw both. Bred to single comb hens you should get 75% single comb an 25% rosecomb. Of course they would all have 1 copy only.

Following~I'm in southeast Texas, about 40 minutes north of Houston. My boyfriend works a lot so I take care of his many game chickens, my peafowl, my many layers (many ages), our incubator, our (too) many dogs, several free-range ducks, a couple horses & everything else around here that I can on our 3 acres. Oh, & I fairly frequently watch my 28 month old grandson, teaching him a bit of life with animals (I hesitate to call it farm life, but I guess it is). I really liked the wing-sexing chart at the beginning of this thread. Hope it will be very helpful.

Up till now I had been having all the BYC traffic sent to my email addy. So I would know when someone posted. and at appx what time so I could leaf back to the timestamp after posting.....

Not me! I learned not to do that a while ago when I "subscribed" to some FB mailing me everything.....then having to sort through a bazillion emails to find a couple of buried and past due bill notices.

Then I get email for the My bills and for Grandmas bills and that goes in a separate folder. My FB contacts all go to their own folder... I rarely go there FB makes me nervous. Just lets me Fast paruse and delete quickly.

There are very few I mark as spam so my filters are pretty much off. If I dont recognize it I read in the reading pane without opening the email at all. NO viruses that way. I read and toss.

Been doing this for a very long time so learned quickly on to NOT allow HTML Keeps the bandwidth down on my emails. So If I want to see Pix I have to go to the website.

What breeds do you have?

As far as my layers, in vary ages, quantities, & point of lay, I have Cream Legbars, Blue-Laced Red Wyandottes, Lavender Orpingtons, a RIR trio + a Golden Sex Link hen, Black Copper Marans, Coronation Sussex, Mille Fleur Leghorns, White Rock pullets, Barred Rock, Black Australorps & Ameraucanas--don't think I missed anything. From the White Rocks on is 5-wk old chicks & I'm sure will be pared down some as they grow. I don't even have individual pens for all my stuff because work has kept boyfriend from finishing them all. Hopefully soon.
