So most of the snow is gone and what was underneath is a nightmare. Flooding from all those late night 4wheeler sessions by the oldest and his friends. UGH. I have a pool in my driveway right in front of the pole barn and coop too. Can you say 21AA gravel? I can and guess who gets to shovel it all out. Yep , he is NOT happy. I keep telling him it's not HIS land to destroy until his name is on the deed.

All of the plastic downspout extenders are ruined. I had to break them free after an ice dam formed on the roof and filled all the gutters and downspouts. Sheesh. Sump pump is working overtime.

I removed the tarp on one side of run today and the girls were so happy. Even one of the roosters noticed he could see into the fields now. There is a little standing water outside the run but only where the bales were so it should dry up quickly. We only lost one bird all this freezing winter long. She really never had a chance. Such a tiny bird should never have been in with the big girls, they never let her eat or rest. Once the bantam roo was gone, I should have moved her and Midnight, the Sebright to their own spot. I just didn't have the time.

We are getting on average over a dozen eggs daily now and might have a couple broody's and it looks to me like some are now just starting to molt? Midnight still has only laid one egg (last fall). For the most part, the girls are free ranging outside alone during the day. I spot check all day long when I pass a window and am not outside.

*Bonus* I can finally put away the reindeer I staked into the ground in November. LOL The blizzard removed one of their heads. Quite a sight at night lit up.
