Well, all that complaining about it being cold and no snow has caught up with me. We probably have a foot and it shows no signs of stopping. eek. I was tormenting the wethermen for being so far off on the east coast storms. *karma*

I'm so sorry. LOL

At least we got to try out the tractor with the blade (we being ds who looks like he was born to be a farmer on that thing) Considering there is a layer of ice underneath all this snow and he only got stuck once for his first time, I was impressed. The gates can open, the path to the coop and barn are too, but that certainly won't be the case by morning. They've called off school for the monsters and all is ready to hunker down if needed.

Love the clothesline and snow pics.

Awesome! Love the look of Ohikis, how's their temperament?
they are sweet at ever. Not a mean bone in their body. There is a pullet out in the one pen and every night I go to feed it's like having a little dog jumping up and down for a treat. She waits there and bounces up 5 feet to my eye level until I come in with feed. I have another who enjoys perching on my shoulders. I did not handle them as chicks and that speaks world for their personality.

Amazing! They sound wonderful!
So not handling them as chicks makes them friendlier when they get older? In your experience, is that just the Ohiki, or other breeds as well? Sorry, am very curious now, lol...

just the ohiki. The others I don't handle much as chicks turn out to be flighty and freak out at sudden movement. Takes them a while to get used to coop life. The ohiki like to be picked up and treated like pets.

lol, I've found that to be true with several breeds... Interesting how the Ohiki are opposite... Can't tell Jim or he'll want them too, lol... :D
