I have one OE, but she is 1/2 Ameraucana and half Marans.... that means that she only has one O = the blue egg gene. The blue egg gene is dominant, and is designated with a capital 'O'.
So, obviously, my Marans are oo (no blue egg gene).
And any chicks bred from the Marans, oo crossed to my olive Egger Oo would be half Oo and half oo.
Oo would lay eggs with a blue shell.
- All I have to say about that is O!
I've got to get it straight before I pick out which ones are going where.
my fake Ameraucana was right up there too, but then it was her first winter.
I call them the original Ameraucana, because they came before the Araucana and the Ameraucana. Haha not really, I call them Easter Eggers.
I just want to drink a case of beer on her porch and enjoy that awesome view.
