honestly, I open the gates and they run to the creek on their own. It's close to the house. I just stand guard and make sure that no one's dogs or a hawk or owl grabs anyone. I let them out when I get off work everyday and leave them out til they meet me at the gate at dark.I vaguely remember Herding a flock of Musovys down to the sand pits.... running water... LOTS of duckweed... for their daily dunk.... And them flying back to the barn... I think I was about thirteen.
It was about half a block to the water.
So How do you do your treck to the creek?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
