This is my 1st year planting onions. When they started to flower, I dug up a few bulbs (not root hairs). The bulbs I exposed to sunlight are twice as big as the ones I didnt

ya thats why the top of the bulbs should be exposed..I just cleared few of my purple onions yesterday...

So the babys have officially been moved and enclosed in the big good to start introduction to the flock more....but here's dumpling and noodle my turkeys update which have been so kewl to raise and everything so far....50's definitely charmed by the turkeys

What kind of onions are you all planting, as in sets, seeds, or plants. We usually buy plants from Dixon Farms. I've never had mine flower, grow about the size of a baseball above ground completely, tops die and their ready and then it snows.
I want to try multiplier onions next year, you can only order them in the fall. They grow like potatoes and are good keepers.

I'm growing tiger melon, yellow flesh water melon from bama, golden boy water melon, fast break cantaloupe, I normally grow sugar baby water melon, musk melon and Minnesota midget melons... I'm growing Egyptian walking onions, shallots and yellow onions...

Are you having trouble too? I thought it was my computer. I have not had any emails of updated threads in DAYS! I subscribed to 25 threads and all are marked to get notified immediately. But I have no messages..............? I also cannot post smileys sometimes and other issues. And it takes FOREVER to type anything.


I have an invention idea. And whomever invents this, split the proceeds with me or I will sue you....We need an app for chicken math. For example: I could've clicked on that app last Saturday when dog killed 3 chickens and Monday when the other one died. And Sunday when I bought 3 chickens. And Monday-Tuesday when 21 hatched out. And today when I got 4 barred rocks.....See my point? We could make millions$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Hurry, someone more computer savy than me, get it out there! It could be called the chicken math app.
