Dixie Chicks

OK, I took off the shell that was broken, shined my flash light in to make sure no veins in the way so cut a tiny hole into the membrane. It dis have a tiny v in it. Little duckling is quite active peeping, I could feel the movement through the shell. :)

REALLY?!?!?!?!!??

Crazy! Where did you get your Marans? Those are clearly the ones that I want.
Quote: me... I would help (just to make sure it can breathe, and then leave it)... but then I got to the end of the thread, and see that you did.

The giant issue with small end pips is that the veins don't dry up like they should. So, pretend the pip is an internal pip, and wait a LONG time before you do any more help. What is important is that the duckling can breathe, and then leave it.

There is a giant fuzzy, at times blank stripe down the middle of my laptop screen. I don't think that it is fixable... the joys of laptops.

@Alaskan half of my Marans came from Northern TN and the other half from New Jersey... the TN ones lay lighter colored eggs but are heavy (I think overly a bit) feathered and the New Jersey ones lay darker eggs but are slightly to sparsely feathered...
I *think* the TN ones were Rose Cottage lines??? And the NJ ones are Bev Davis/Wade Jean birds... PM me if you want to know who and how to get the NJ ones... :)

Hardware issue... I bought two Fujitus Excellent machines. One for my son one for me... Exactly the same... mine burned the screen out and his burned out the hard drive. I ... will ... be .... danged if I could NOT find someone who could make me a whole lap top out of the two...

After that I was done with laptops for ever.

Besides heat kills em... and mine died after a year at my house... That was before I found out that you should have a laptop cooler in hot climates.

Sooo.. i have had towers ever since.

awesome! Got everything crossed that you have a good hatch!

I was amazed she didn't freak out, considering how chicken the ducks are about new things, lol... she just stood there and chomped her beak up and down swinging her head back and forth... when it finally stayed down I swear she smiled at me and looked for another!!
talking about ducks being scared. Josh told me, hey let me build you a trough feeder for the ducks. Oh great! Put said feeder in the pen, ducks were terrified of it for a week. Wouldn't eat out of it for that week.

Oh my leg horn eggs, 8 for 8 on development. I don't think the 1 will make it though. Somehow the air cell moved from the top of the egg to the bottom/side. It looks like the chick is underdeveloped.
