funny, I've got 3 CL ads and no odd ball calls yet. Well, crazy duck guy, but that's it. I put in the ads clearly no farm pickups or visits due to the AI.@minihorse927
, just read about the Georgia article. Sad. I've been laying low. None of government's business how I conduct my chicken business. Even got a few "odd calls" off CL ad, so deleted that. Maybe it was the government nosing around. Wanted to meet with a man who wanted to buy a rooster. However, he was insistent on coming here. I explained that I didn't want cross contamination of farms & that we practice bio security. He was not happy, and has not called back. Such is life.
We are getting eggs out our ears too @Alaskan
. Donating 10+ dozen a week to local food pantry.
It's been pouring rain here for a week. Everyday.....rain. Guess what it's doing now. Yeap. Raining.
You all have a great day. I'll check in when I get a chance.
I hope your Ohiki pulls through.Well, it's official. Ohio has had plenty of rain and it needs to stop. My grow out pen is flooded. Had to rescue 20 grow out who are no longer identifiable due to mud, including my svart hona! They're now living with the Swedish flowers cause they're good and dry in there. Found 1 ohiki already down and about dead. Gave her a warm rinse off and wrapped her up, some nutri drench, and put her in a dark corner in a clothes basket. She's quietly chirping so maybe she'll pull through this.
X2 on the poor baby.I hope your Ohiki pulls through.
I hope your Ohiki pulls through.
thank you guys. I come back in from feeding and she's willing to open her eyes if I mess with her. Gave her another rinse since she was so muddy. Got most of it off now. She stinks to high heaven. Her face was completely packed full of mud. She's willing to open one eye more than the other. The one she doesn't want to open as much was full of mud. Cleaned it out and put some terramycin ointment in it. I think if she pulls through the night she'll be fine. I think between the mud and rain she just got too cold.X2 on the poor baby.
We've had so much more rain than normal that no where in the state is still in a drought condition. Up here we have had rain literally every other day! Nothing has the chance to dry out, the weeds in the gardens are impossible to keep up with and the mosquitoes are so bad I swear we got transported to the Washington rain forest!!!
