Dixie Chicks

Me too! I wanna see!

So..... Votes..... I wait for all of these roosters to grow out...... And then look them over and...

Cull based solely on conformation?

Keep whichever two have the best body shape? Ignore color?

Or..... Keep (as long as conformation is at least good) my way overly colored boy, and the blue boy......

But then, could I keep both roosters and the hens all together in one spot.... Would there be any way to tell the black chicks from the copper chicks?

Also, Mr. Blue Marans hatched from a blah color egg (NOT good color). But, he is cool.... A blue.... :drool color..... how much will he mess up the egg color of the chicks that he sires?

Arg! :barnie Sounds like I need two pens, one for the blue dude, hatch blue chicks from him, keep the blue girls and breed them back to my much better egg color chickens. Maybe I could just do one big hatch from him, and then get rid of him? :idunno

Oh @Beer can that is all kinds of bad

About 2 months... Which makes me think that it has to be male.... So I use it to breed and say I am selling Black and Blue Marans? Not copper???

@BriardChickens just a little hole at the top on the air cell... So you can see what is going on.... Because these are past due, right?

@RavynFallen yep... That guy!

That's the plan Alaskan. Now, if there isn't movement maybe i'll poke some....

I say male and I'd do what raven said.

Anyone want me to post a pic of a super awesome deformed quail (it didn't hatch, I was breaking unhatched eggs). I'll use the spoiler button

so not everyone has to look at it.
YES!

It has 2 fully formed top beaks with 2 sets of nostrils and the center looks like the 2 eyes formed into one. It has 1 eye of each side of its head and 1 ear hole on each side. Everything else appears normal.

I vote you grow them out and see what you get. Build your bridge, then you paint it.
