I incubated the ancona in my tiny Brinsea. 6 days left on a well developing Tennessee red quail hatch in there. 9 eggs left. I pulled 3 quitters a week ago.

People want to buy it to preserve the chick...

Bad day today. I found one of my Crevecoeurs with both legs totally useless. Paralysis. I am heartbroken.

I hate drinking water, but I have 1 cup of cold water down. Hoping this will help with the smoke headache.

Well, i was talking with DH last night about getting a bigger brinsea incubator. He just said "I told you at the beginning to get what you needed". Well, at that point I didn't think i'd want to have multiple hatches and more then a few eggs at a time.

The plans are to sell the hovabator and put that money towards a Brinsea 40. Not that I'll be making lots of money of that sale.. telling the girls to start producing, "momma needs eggs to sell for a brinsea down payment so we can have more babies"

might be the better way to go..

I do appreciate the support. I take these things hard. I gave her 60 ml. x2 of water and baby bird food. I think M mcM skipped vaccinating a couple of the chicks I bought last year.

My Creve today is outside standing but not walking. Sometimes I wonder if hydration and food have something to do with it. I guess I will see. Here poop is that "starved green". I will be tubing her until I see her eat and drink.

No pictures...too much trouble.... But A deformed chick just hatched for me i have a jillion chicks decide to die and not hatch... And what hatches all peppy and healthy? A chick I gotta kill!!!!

One side of its head wasn't right, no eye, flat there, because of the off face the beak was also off... Super crossed.

But no, it wasn't the only one.... I have two out and healthy and one almost out and it looks good.... And that will be it.
