@Outpost JWB If that splitter has the Honda gc190 motor like my 28 ton it will not start when it is cold. Warm starts easy, below 30, blah! We got a load of log length this winter when it was zero. Had to put a tarp over it and run a hair dryer on the block for a hour before it started.
Problem is it has no idle control, starts out full throtle. I leave it partly choked for a bit to lower rpm's.
Other than that it does run excellent and splits anything. I cut 24" and if a block gets over 26 doesn't fit it will split it standing up through the side. I've split knarly knotty, grain going loop de loo, apple, struggled a bit but it did it and I didn't think I could burn the stuff. Big savings that old apple tree and roots burned like coal.
