So I guess you still haven't found any replacements?

I wonder how hard it is to send eggs from Canada?
 
I know trying to do some things before 50 gets back with a bunch more stuff......think I am done for the day though tired........fifty bazillion heavy books and buncha stuff moved around and scrubbed up and cleaned......my living rooms a chaotic mess but I am done for now......will move the other fifty bazillion books tomorrow

Nope... I just am keeping some of my ducklings to use as breeders next spring... Major inbreeding...

I will decide in the spring if I wanna mail order ducklings from a hatchery.
 
I wish Metzer had them still. There are a few breeders here that sell on Craigslist... But I would rather have hatching eggs... I just got done writing about this on another thread... With all the diseases that are out there and parasites.... I would rather start with a clean slate for any of my poultry.

ya I can understand that...not even letting anyone who has contact to birds onto property to infect mine at this point

I wish Metzer had them still.    There are a few breeders here that sell on Craigslist...    But I would rather have hatching eggs...  I just got done writing about this on another thread...  With all the diseases that are out there and parasites....  I would rather start with a clean slate for any of my poultry.

From what I understand, chicks tend to be pretty clean, it is older birds, or birds that have touched the rest of the flock that are more likely to have issues.

There is one hatchery... Uh.... Country something? Anyway, they sell color choices, you can pick black, blue, chocolate, white, or assortment. A couple of those colors are pied, one is solid. Anyway, I think it is the only hatchery that offers chocolate. Some have a grab bag of colors that might include chocolate, most carry only white.
