these are 75% kune kune and 25% guinea hog but they look like their kune kune lineage more than the guinea hog lineage. They were crossed cause this cross makes them put on meat faster.

Some very interesting breeds out there m been trying to get the large blacks , so far nada ! Used to have Razorbacks , wonderful meat , would love some Hereford's , a beautiful colored hog

I saw some Hereford's at our county fair 4H show this yr. I think it's the first time I've saw a rare heritage pig there. Very cool looking pigs. Same with the rabbits, saw some American Chinchilla's (meat and fur rabbits) and got their #. No poultry this yr, they were banned...

someone close by me has Hertford pigs for sale. I was looking at them but decided I didn't want anything that big

Morning! Klaara came back online today, so now all 5 girls are laying. And all in different colours too. Very nice. The new layers are all laying in the 50g range, so pretty decent eggs.

Karin got to witness our doe feeding the little kits today. Said they were sucking like crazy. In a couple days their eyes should open, and they should start exploring. I need to figure out some sort of ramp for the nest box, so that they can get back in if they venture out for some reason. It's a bit high at the moment.
